Summer is on the Horizon!
The weather has been so amazing this week - Geeta and I have been trying to make a habit of taking walks around the neighborhood. The babies just love the fresh air and so do mommy and daddy! We tend to get couped up in our Condo, and getting out takes a real effort.
This weekend, we zipped across town to Mississauga to get the babies hand and feet imprints done in clay. We really want to capture everything we can - they are at such a small, and cute stage and it will only happen once.
Yesterday night, we were privileged to have Sarah come and take care of the kids for the evening while mommy and daddy enjoyed some much needed time. We hit up a patio here in Yorkville soaking in all the vibrancy and atmosphere. Going out was something we used to take for granted before the kids came and we used to get out a lot - after the kids came it's something we treasure since we no longer have the ability to get out at will.
What's new?
Babbling! - yup the babes are just starting to babble and talk baby talk...so cute!
They are melting our hearts with smiles more and more - and they know it too!
They love taking baths - they love warm water.
Jaiden really likes being carried in the baby carrier - not so much for Ariya or Kailen yet.

Bye Bye Dadu
We said good bye to Grandpa Gera this morning (aka Dadu) who will be returning to London, England.
The babies will miss you!
The long weekend was nice. Dadu, Geeta, and I took the kids for walks including an outing to Toronto's Distillery District - the babies were quite the tourist attraction. At one point, we stopped for ice cream and within 2 mins we had a crowd of 15 surrounding the kids! It was kind of crazy, but everyone was really nice and just curious for the most part. We realize that the 'Little Ship' (aka our stroller) is quite the attraction and I guess most people have never seen triplets before. Jaiden put on a bit of show with his constant smiles for the audience - almost like he knew he was getting lots of attention. We also went for a stroll in a nearby forest (yes - T.O. has a forest downtown by the Don Valley Parkway and it is amazing to walk/run through it) - the kids loved the sounds of nature and the mist and sound of the stream.
What's new?
The babies are starting to smile more and more - sometimes on demand. They pay more attention to their Dr. Seuss Baby books and it sometimes feels like they have a favourite page in the story book. They are growing super fast. They are sleeping longer. They are recognizing mommy and daddy more and more. They love the outdoors and the sounds of nature. They are sleeping less in the day playing more with their toys!
Oh - and we are so glad to have Sarah (our nanny) back from vacation!! Welcome home.
We had some visitors this weekend...

'The Mamma'
Geeta has recently started to refer to herself as 'the mamma'.
Here's a sample of common discussion between Geeta and the kids: "smile for the mamma", "open your mouth for the mamma", "stop peeing on the mamma." I think it's about time that I start referring to myself as "the daddy." Adding a 'the' in front of your name just sounds so interesting :)

Welcome Dadu!
Grandpa Gera (aka Dadu in hindi) has come to meet his grandkids for the first time.
In only a couple of short days, dadu has become a pro at feeding and playing with the babies - now we just have to teach to change diapers ;)
The kids are doing great. This past Saturday, our nanny Sarah took care of the kids at night and Geeta and I got out for an outing - the first since the babes were born. We had an amazing time. On Sunday, our close family friends Uma Auntie and Shainu came over and took care of the kids to give us a bit of a bit of a break. Geeta got some much needed sleep and I was able to hit the driving range for the first time this year. In the evening we got out for quick drink and snack - thank you Auntie and Shainu!

Almost three months old!
I understand now why parents say that their babies grow up so fast - we see our little ones growing by the day and we only get to go through this cute stage once....yes no more kids for us in the future!
What's new?
Kailen and Jaiden can now hold their heads up during tummy times and are starting to look around more - they especially love looking at the ceiling!
All three are starting to smile more and more
The babies are sleeping longer and longer and are getting closer to sleeping through the night!
They love to dance and listen to music.
They are all eating more and more (especially Kailen) and Ariya is even trying to hold the bottle.
Common Nick Names?
Kailen - 'Koala Bear', 'Baba'
Jaiden - 'Bug', 'JJ'
Ariya - 'Lady Bug', 'Bella Baby', 'Baby Girl'
