Eat, Play, Love

We're growing up quickly! Every week, we're adding new words to our vocabulary. This week, Jaiden put three words together "big red car". Ariya figured out how to use her pencil crayons as chopsticks, and Kailen loves the playground and especially slides - he can climb up all by himself, slide down, and repeat without mommy and daddy.

The kiddos started singing (or at least trying to), lots of jumping going on, and chasing around the house. They've been attending playgroups weekly and have started to interact a bit more with other kids. Elmo rules in this home!...no one better to influence them. Puppet shows are a big hit - daddy does a pretty good doggy and cow impression....I get curtain calls all the time. Mommy gets requests to sing and bring out the instruments.

Its been a while!

What's New:

Major vocabulary learning going on. Best feeling ever coming home from a long day at work and hearing three little munchkins scream 'da da'. They say 'mama' a bit more clearly - so amazing for both of us. In some weird way it makes you feel more like a parent.

Ariya Bella is into hoarding - she collects pencil crayons when she wakes up and holds onto them tightly all day before giving them up at night. We've observed that the kids tend to steal each other's toys a lot and it's interesting to see how Ariya developed this hoarding habit as a defence mechanism...good luck trying to take those pencil crayons away from her!

Jaiden is Elmo-obsessed. In the morning he'll bring you the remote control because he comprehends that it turns on the tv and allows him to watch Elmo (on demand). He now associates everything that's the colour red with Elmo. Once you show him an episode or two it is really difficult to pull him away!

Kailen is into dancing these days - he loves music and loves to stomp his feet. We've succeeded in sleep training our little monster (finally) after 6 weeks of getting little sleep...seems like his teething was causing it...he is now the proud owner of molars! Kailen and JJ play rough together but interestingly enough are fairly gentle with their sister.

So much more to tell....but life is soooo busy these days between work/home/basement. We are getting the basement finished as we prepare for the arrival of our live-in nanny who is coming from Hong Kong (originally from the Philippines). We expect Juvy to be here early in the New Year and we'll say good bye to Betty-Ann who is moving to Italy.
