First trip for the babies!

The babies are about to embark on their first trip!!

We are heading back home to Ottawa this long weekend and the babies will meet their cousins Rohan, Rhea, and Sanya for the first time. We are really excited for them to meet everyone. We'll also be stopping by and visiting a number of friends that we haven't seen in a while....Can't wait.

We are packing up the 'big ship' tonight (i.e. our mini-van) in preparation for the drive tomorrow morning. We figure that we can leave after their early morning feed around 6AM and get to Ottawa by the early PM. After 'little ship' (i.e. the triplet stroller) is loaded, there is hardly any room for luggage - so we are packing as light as possible.

The G3...

There may only be one G8/G20 meeting every year (and this year's happens to be in Toronto), but everyday is the G3 in the Gera-household :-)

Ariya, Jaiden, and Kailen Gera (i.e. members of the G3) seem to have in-depth conversations on a daily basis that I'm sure would change the world if we could only understand them!

Jaiden is feeling better - smiling more although we are starting to wonder if he is returning back to his feisty ways. Guess time will tell if it is his personality or was his hernia.

Ariya is holding onto her bottle with every feed, and continues to lick everything in sight. She makes these cute little noises and is just so cute!!!

Kailen is all smiles these days and continues to sleep like it's his job! Mr. Koala bear is finding plenty of trees to hang from these days and will literally fall asleep on you regardless of whether he's ever met you before or not.

All of them are starting to giggle! Yes - they are starting to laugh. We'll have to capture that on video.

Summer IS Here!!

Summer is here and it's hot!

We've been putting the AC on lately but the babies sometimes get congested from it. We've been resorting to our fan as an alternative however the babies sweat like crazy at night.

Jaiden had his hernia fixed this week and he's definitely a happier boy. He's smiling more, and crying less and we are so pleased to see our little boy feeling better.

Our little babies experienced their first earthquake today - although don't think they really noticed it ;) We had a small tremor in Toronto today, while our family in Ottawa (closer to the epicenter) experienced a pretty good jolt

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

It's Father's Day and there's no better dad than ours!! Our daddy takes such good care of us and we love him soooo much!!

Daddy feeds us every evening when he comes home from a long day at work and has so much more patience than Mommy at the end of the day. Sometimes Daddy sings to us....although we don't know how we feel about that yet :-)

Every weekend Daddy feeds us in the middle of the night (we don't quite sleep through the night yet although we're trying and are almost there!) and he reads us all our favourite books too!

Daddy plays us U2 music and sings along really loud for our amusement. He also tries to capture our every move on video and takes tons of pictures of us (sometimes we feel like celebrities). For that and everythng else that he is - we love our daddy!! He is the bestest!

We're not technically savvy yet and couldn't put our 4 brains (3 of us plus Mommy) to put together a fancy video so here are a few of our favourite pictures of us with our daddy!!

Harry Potter and Tummy Time

We've been calling our little Jaiden, 'Harry Potter', lately :)

The story behind that is Geeta accidentally dropped a book on Jaiden forehead on Sunday while she was reading to him. As a result, Jaiden has a little scar on his forehead. Of course, mommy felt horrible about it and Jaiden is okay! Since Jaiden has a mini-scar on his forehead we call him 'Harry Potter' and we refer to mommy as 'you know who - the one that must not be named'.

Okay - I don't expect most people to get that...yes Geeta and I loved the Harry Potter movies and Geeta especially is an avid reader and fan of the books.

The babies recently visited the doctor and we were instructed to give more tummy time to the kids. Apparently, they are not getting enough tummy time which is important to strengthen their neck muscles. We didn't really know better. Mommy has quickly put them on a workout schedule (i.e. scheduled intervals of tummy time that increment by the day). We're pleased to report that on day two of the schedule, the kids can tolerate about 15 mins of play time at a time on their tummy's. In total the kids need to be able to do 3 hours a day.

Immunization Shots

Our poor little babies got their second immunization shot today. They are all a bit under the weather this evening, but I'm sure they will be feeling better tomorrow. Geeta tells me that Kailen and Jaiden cried a lot when they got their shots, while Ariya seemed to handle it a bit better.

... Nothing worse than seeing our little ones upset ;(

Updates on weights & heights...all babies put on about 2.5lbs this month!!

They continue to drink lots of milk and are packing on the pounds. Although they are 4 months old, they are considered 2 months old now (adjusted age) since they were premature.

Kailen: 12lbs 10 oz, 75% percentile weight & height

Jaiden: 11lbs 7 oz, 50% percentile weight & height

Ariya: 10lbs 5oz, 50% percentile weight & height

4 Months Old!!
