Family Reunion Underway!!

The Gera Family Reunion is in full swing!

6 adults and 10 kids...makes for quite the party.

We've been doing our best to hang out in T.O. together before our departure to Blue Mountain on Monday, but that's not always easy with such a big family. The nice thing is that everyone has gotten to meet the babies finally and it's really neat knowing that our little ones have so many cousins to grow up with.

What's new with the triplets?

Ariya Bella is getting really good at holding up her head. Tummy time is paying off and maybe the Jolly Jumper is helping too. She also likes to smile on demand. Mommy and Daddy can get her to smile at will now. She's also has Daddy wrapped around her finger....I admit it! When I sneak back into our bedroom at night to grab a few things, she always opens her eyes and smiles at me because she knows I'll pick her up :)

Jaiden is like a little baby tigger. These days, he's trying out different voices and often sounds like a little kitten when he yells ;) He's such a good little boy and his feisty tendencies have subsided quite a bit. Jaiden also smiles on demand now and started rolling over!

Kailen is still a Koala Bear who loves to cling on to any tree that will hold him. He's becoming more vocal now and had got quite the lungs on him, especially when he is hungry. Kailen can now roll over now...so incredible to watch.

Anika is here!

The Gera family reunion is underway! Anika (my oldest niece) came to visit and has been here for just over a week now. My sister and two nieces got into to Toronto yesterday night from California - daddy presented some additional delays in getting out of the airport after forgetting where he parked the 'big ship' (i.e. the minivan)...45 mins later we found it!

Anika has been helping to take care of the munchkins and is feeding them, holding them, burping them, and putting them to bed. Now....just have to get her trained on diaper duty!

The rest of the family gets in over the coming days and then off to Blue Mountain for some R&R time!

We also recently attended a bbq with our former pre-natal class that consisted of parents that had multiples. It was really neat seeing so many twins in one spot. Here is a pic from our little gathering.

Geeta and I decided to buy the kids a new toy to play with yesterday - it's a Jolly Jumper! Maybe some of you remember them from when you were little..they've been around forever. The kids just love it and they are learning to bounce - it's so cute to watch them discover new things. I've included a video of Ariya below using it for the first time.

We often get asked how many bottles of milk we have to prepare in a day. Typically, we prepare one or two batches of formula per day and try to make as many bottles as we can in one shot. We usually go through 15-20 bottles a day for three babies - in fact we now go through a 12 can case of formula every 5-6 days now. Below is a picture of what our fridge typically looks like on any given day.

Getting Ready for a Family Reunion!

The babies are getting ready for a Gera family reunion!

This Tuesday, Anika (our niece from Texas) is arriving to visit and will be followed by my sister and nieces (California) + brother and nephew (Texas) + Brother/Sister-in-law and nieces/nephews (Ottawa) over the subsequent two weeks. We are planning a chalet retreat near Blue Mountain and will also be spending time in Toronto. We are looking forward to the babies meeting their cousins, uncles, and aunties. Daddy is taking two weeks of vacation and can't wait!!!

It's Hotttt!

The babies were really good this week. Mommy has been sick and daddy has been extra busy at work - so it has been a challenging week. This week was a scorcher...super hottttt! The AC has been running on overdrive!

Geeta's sister, Puja Masi (aka Puja Auntie), is in town this week and is giving lots of attention the little ones. Lots of baby talk going on in this household and you can almost get the sense that the babies are communicating with each other sometimes.

Ottawa Long Weekend

We Enjoyed a fantastic looooong weekend in Ottawa!

It was so nice for the babies to finally meet their cousins and visit family and friends. The kids were so good and the drive was probably only an hour more than normal as we had to stop and feed the kids only once on the way there and back.

We are so thankful for our friends and family hosting us during the visit - we had a great time and can't wait to come back!! In only four days, we truly felt like we'd never left town...so amazing!

What's New?

Jaiden talks to the ceiling gods :) He loves staring at the ceiling and talking to it as if he was seeing someonethere. He is laughing and talking so much these days - so beautiful to wake up to.

Kailen also is talking more and smiling more. He sometimes sings to himself and gurgles. His hands and feet are noticeably growing larger and we are already missing his tiny little feet.

Ariya is definitely looking like she is starting to teeth! Can't imagine her having a tooth already. She smiles on demand and just melts our hearts everytime.
